Thea White, the voice actor of Muriel Bagge in “Brave Dogs,” dies at the age of 81.
White’s brother John Zitzner confirmed her death deadline On Friday morning, the late actress died in Cleveland, Ohio from a “complication of surgery” related to liver cancer.
According to reports, White was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1940, and knew early on that she wanted to pursue an acting career. Considering that her mother Eleanor Hazard and grandmother Eva are both vaudeville actors, her preference for this craft seems to stem from her exposure to it at a very young age.
After graduating from high school, White continued to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the American Theater Wing. While learning and honing her acting skills, she also played several jobs.
When she was in her 20s, White was very professional on stage. But when the latter toured in Australia, she went on to become the personal assistant of German-American actress Marlene Dietrich.
In 1983, White tied the knot with Scottish musician Andy White, who played drums on some of the Beatles’ hit songs, such as “PS I Love You” and “Love Me Do”. While enjoying her married life, she accepted a job as a librarian. According to reports, White remained with her husband until his death in 2015. type.
White finally returned to the show business through the cartoon network series “The Brave Cowardly Dog”. From the 1999 first episode to the 2002 finale, she has voiced the role of Scottish grandmother Muriel Bagge in all episodes of the show.
In the show, Muriel’s grumpy husband Eustace is played by Lionel Wilson and Arthur Anderson. On the other hand, the couple’s always nervous pink dog Courage was voiced by Marty Grabstein, who paid tribute to the late artist via Facebook on Saturday.
