Pastor Brian Houston, founder of the organization Xin Song Megachurch was charged with concealment of the deceased father’s sexual abuse of children in the 1970s.
New South Wales was charged on Thursday after a two-year investigation into the 67-year-old Houston Policemen Australia’s Force (NWS) accused him of failing to report the abuse of a boy four years ago. Sydney Morning Herald Report.
The daily reported that the Houston lawyer received a notice to appear in court on Thursday, requesting the pastor to appear in the Downing Centre District Court in Sydney on October 5.
The police did not name Houston in a statement on these allegations, but confirmed that a 67-year-old “church leader was charged with concealment of child sex crimes.”
The authorities added that “the police will charge the man in court with information related to the sexual abuse of a young man in the 1970s, but failed to bring this information to the police’s attention.”
Weekly newspaper NWS has been contacted for comments and confirmation.
Sinsong Church is famous for its celebrity participants. Previously, its members included Selena Gomez, Bono and Jenner sisters.
