The EU may impose travel restrictions on the United States again, and as the Delta variant continues to spread in the United States, precautionary measures may be taken next week
After initially lifting the travel ban in June, the European Union is now again considering the idea of restricting US access to member states. The United States broke the threshold of 75 new cases per 100,000 residents in 14 days. Bloomberg Report.
Enforcement of the ban on the United States requires the consent of a majority of EU member states, and restrictions will apply to non-essential travel. However, people who are fully vaccinated can choose to fly to Europe.

As cases in the United States continue to increase, Dr. Anthony Fauci said that if a new strain exceeds the Delta variant with a viral load 1,000 times higher than the original variant, the United States “may be in trouble.”
Fauci added: “If we take immediate measures, mid-term measures and long-term measures, and immediate mitigation measures, we will reverse the surge in Delta.”
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the 7-day average number of cases reported in the United States is 94,000. The number of cases in the United States exceeded 100,000 on Monday and Tuesday.
Delta variants have been shown to infect vaccinated people, and as people move indoors in the fall, it is expected to cause an increase in breakthrough infections. NBC Finance Channel Report.
