Fresno State University Republicans caused a storm after reposting and belittling a video of comedian Patrick Loller, a disabled American veteran. In the video, Löller angered those who refused to wear masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, calling them “cowards”, conceited “vulnerable” and “taking people’s lives.”
Loller initially posted the video to TikTok in February. Earlier this week, a group of angry conservatives discovered and spread it more widely. University Republican groups responded to the video by insulting Loller, while appearing to mock post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD, a disease that affects many veterans.
“You are such a hero, when I light fireworks next door, you will collapse,” the organization wrote in its response to the video on Wednesday.
The organization added in a subsequent tweet: “Perhaps the people who really fight in battle are brave, but the vast majority of our military is honorable DMV employees.” “They oppose what we have always believed in as conservatives. , There are almost no exceptions.”

Fresno State University Republicans later insisted that it “always supported and appreciated” those serving in fixed tweets, while vaguely implying that the original tweets might have been generated due to some type of security breach.
“The Republicans at Colorado State University Fresno College have always supported and thanked our soldiers, veterans, and all those who made sacrifices for our great country,” the organization wrote on Twitter. “The security password has been changed to avoid any further objectionable posts and the need to delete any similar content.”

After receiving dozens of negative responses that were skeptical that security issues were a factor in controversial tweets, the organization prevented Twitter users from making any further direct responses.
“Oh, this is a security issue!” Lorre responded on Twitter. “That’s why they posted multiple tweets about how veterans are cowards and glorify DMV employees! God, they pin this, otherwise it seems like a sad attempt to shift responsibility.”
Loller added: “Oh, it’s so cute that they turn off comments after people shout out.” “Personal responsibility and free speech party everyone!”
