Podcast host Madison Malone Kircher said on Twitter that she believes the platform will become a fan store starting October 1.
Many people compare it to the popular blog site Tumblr’s ban on pornography in 2019. January 2021, Independent report The site lost one-fifth of its users due to the ban, and many people see this as an attack on the “sexually active, LGBT, and NSFW art communities.”
Twitter user Matt tweeted: “tumblr and onlyfans are hanging out after they both banned pornography”, and two photos of the tombstone.
Similarly, another Twitter user tweeted a popular two-person arm wrestling meme format, stating that these platforms’ decisions to ban pornography meant that both parties dig their own graves.
Editor Jeffrey Zhang agreed with this view and posted two photos of the coffin with the caption: “This is the annual Tumblr/OnlyFans gathering.”
It’s no secret that many users rely on the platform to make a living. As a result, some users shared the memes that these creators now have to look for other jobs.
“Only fan content creators after October 1st,” a user posted a video on Twitter in which someone assembled burgers at a fast food restaurant.
“Hey, I remember you!” tweeted a user. “I subscribed to your OnlyFans before.” The attached picture is a sad squid wearing a McDonald’s mask and headphones.
Twitter user @_Tyreeck_ shared an infamous clip of Paul Rudd in “Hot Ones”, where he said: “Hey, look at us.” When the host asked him “Who would think of it”, Rudd replied :”not me.”

It is not clear what the future of the platform will be, but it is clear that many online people believe that the new content ban will cause OnlyFans to fail.
