Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Caleb Plant have agreed to face each other on November 6 to determine the first world super middleweight world champion in boxing history.
Alvarez and Plant’s camp have agreed to the terms and signed the contract, according to Mike Koppinger ESPN.
The report added that this will be a one-time battle for Alvarez under the PBC umbrella. However, given the organization’s roster of super middleweight talent, future business may happen.
The Mexicans revealed the location of Alvarez’s battle with plants. According to Alvarez, the conflict will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Although there is no mention of the venue MGM Grand Arena It seems to be available on other sites booked on that date.
“On November 6 this year, we will put Mexican boxing first,” Alvarez announced through his official Instagram Page for Thursday, August 20th. “Let’s find our lost belt.”
Regardless of the venue, Alvarez will play his first game since 2019 in Las Vegas. At the time, the Mexican boxer faced Sergey Kovalev. The 31-year-old player won the 11th round of the knockout round and won the WBO light heavyweight championship.
