Sequans’ latest module, Monarch 2 GM02S, supports LTE-M and NB-IoT, and is now certified by AT&T and approved to run on the AT&T network.

Monarch 2 GM02S Is the most advanced in the industry LTE Cat M1/NB1/NB2 Connect solutions. It is based on Sequans’ second-generation Monarch 2 chip platform, which is designed and optimized to support massive IoT. Monarch 2 significantly improves performance and power consumption, while providing seamless migration for Monarch 1 customers because it is based on Sequans’ existing LTE-M/NB-IoT protocol stack-the most mature and mature protocol stack in the entire LTE ecosystem one. Monarch 2 GM02S is the first member of Sequans’ next-generation S-series module series, which has a very small but cost-effective form factor and does not require external components.
Monarch 2 GM02S provides strong support for integrated SIM (iUICC), through its standards-based and GSMA-compliant integrated advanced EAL5+ security zone implementation, providing security for best-in-class IoT devices. Monarch 2 GM02S also includes Sequans’ Single-SKU™ RF front end, which supports deployment in any frequency band around the world, realizing truly global deployment capabilities. The low-power application MCU allows customers to port their own code to the module through the feature-rich SDK. In addition to ultra-low power consumption, Monarch 2 GM02S uses a single-rail power supply with a starting voltage of 2..2 V, which is the lowest voltage supported by any LTE-M/NB-IoT module in the industry today, thereby releasing more battery efficiency and eBOM save.
The Monarch 2 GM02S module has been shipped in bulk since the beginning of 2021.
