Saul “Canelo” Alvarez takes his boxing seriously and prefers to face only professional boxers.
However, his position seems to have changed slightly-especially when it comes to YouTuber and boxing novice Jack Paul.
The 31-year-old boxing champion recently left Beauty & Essex in Los Angeles. A photographer reportedly asked him a few questions. TMZ Report.
Alvarez is not exactly a fan of Jack and his brother Logan Paul in boxing. He issued a warning in May, questioning why YouTube users obtained boxing licenses.
“They can kill them. This is not a football game, they can kill them,” Alvarez said in an interview with Graham Bensinger at the time. “If someone dies, the committee will be responsible. Why? Because they issued a combat permit.”
But fast forward to the present, and the Mexicans seem to sing a different tune.
When asked if he would give Paul a chance, Alvarez replied: “Not now.” To support this, he felt that YouTubers were not ready yet.
When further asked if Paul was a good choice, Alvarez said instead: “If he wants someone to fight, we have this person here (point to the person next to him).”
Seeing the 24-year-old player have the opportunity to face Alvarez in the ring is a vision. It may take a few more years to make it happen—perhaps when the Mexicans retire or are close to retirement.
Currently, Alvarez is focusing on his upcoming battle with Caleb Plant at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 6.
The IBF super middleweight title will compete with Alvarez for the 29-year-old American. This is the first loss in his professional boxing career.

By the way, when he appeared in Alvarez vs. Plante, he was asked to predict his prediction for Alvarez vs. Plante. Sports Bytes PH podcast On August 20 last year, Philippine journalists Brian Yalung, Rica Aquino and Vincent Juico were facing each other.
“I will go to 100% Caleb because he is my friend. I support him and I know him. I am a fan of Canelo, but not more than my friend Caleb. So I totally support Caleb. It has nothing to do with the belt, and it has nothing to do with the battle. . Boxing is a business,” Awesome said.
