Christy Martin Lauders believes Manny Pacquiao has nothing to prove

Christie Martin is the first female boxer to be selected into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame. She has experienced a lot in her life.

The former WBC women’s super welterweight champion has experienced a lot in her personal life. This included being stabbed several times by her husband, James V. Martin, and shot at least once.

Somehow, the “daughter of the coal miner” survived all this and even returned to the ring in 2011.

Unfortunately, her battle with Dakota Stone and Mia St. John did not benefit her.

Natives from West Virginia recently appeared in “Sports for All” PH podcast Hosted by Vincent Juico and Rica Aquino. In addition to her family problems with her separated husband, she has also been asked many questions.

One of the interesting questions raised was about Manny Pacquiao. As we all know, the eighth-level champions have the most guesses about the future.

Martin admitted that she did not watch Pacquiao’s game against Youdenis Ugas this weekend, which is why she was unable to give an honest opinion.

“You can’t beat father time and nature. Maybe father’s time has caught up with Manny, but I haven’t really watched the fight yet, so I can’t give an honest opinion,” Martin said.

But in general, Martin believes that Pacquiao has done more than enough in boxing, and there is nothing to prove.

“You know it’s a difficult process. Because it’s something for someone like Manny. I’ll guess I don’t know him personally, but I guess he’s [in] This mentality [that] He didn’t want to fight a farewell battle with “Nobody”. He might want to come back and fight another competitive champion,” the 53-year-old explained.

Like most people who have heard of the 42-year-old Filipino’s success, Martin believes that Pacquiao has made enough money and proves himself by winning several boxing championships.

“He makes a lot of money, how many belts does he have? As a future Hall of Fame member, he has nothing to prove,” she said. “So why not hang it up and continue to do what you do? Do politics and help the people. He has done enough in boxing.”
