The Indian state of Gujarat, formerly known as Platykia and Varuna, is a state on the west coast of the Arabian Sea: mainly known for Mahatma Gandhi and cultural diversity. In other words, every corner of this state has made a significant contribution to the aesthetic appearance of India. Whether it is the innocence of the Gujarati people, the pulsating art and architecture, or the heritage immersed in the ancient and ethnic diversity hierarchy! Gujarat is still home to many important sites. Including those related to the civilization of the Indus Valley.

Dholavira is one of the most comprehensive and famous archaeological sites related to the civilization of the Indus Valley. On the other hand, Gola Dhoro is a recent discovery. Among them, the first port of India was established in Lothar.
Gujarat Foundation
The foundation of Gujarat was laid during the reign of Emperor Chandra Gupta, who conquered many territories that now make up the country. Some 16th-century manuscripts mention a businessman from King Gondofal who arrived in Gujarat with the apostle Thomas and was torn apart by a lion. The lion mentioned here describes the port city of Gujarat because it is the only habitat for the endangered Asian lion.

At the beginning of the first century AD, Saka rulers played a leading role in shaping the nearly 300-year history of Gujarat. Gandhinagar, 20 kilometers from Ahmedabad, named after Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, has been the state’s capital since 1970. This town is famous for the Akshardham Temple.
Music, art and culture of Gujarat
Gujarat is one of the most dynamic states I have visited in India. Whether it is architecture, culture, music, handicrafts or wild animals, this state will definitely make you have a strong interest in diversified collages. The most exciting is Gujarat’s exquisite art form of handcrafted products.

You can find the most creative and traditional designs in the state in embroidered clothing, various furniture, jewelry, leather, metal, and mirror works. Gujarat is also the birthplace of various forms of music and dance. The folk music of Gujarat comes from Sugam Sangeet, and Dandiya Raas, Garba, Garbi and Padhar are the main dance forms.
Famous city
Here are some of the most famous and wonderful cities in Gujarat that I have personally experienced.
Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, also known as Ahmedabad, is the most populous city in Gujarat, and its rich culture and heritage will leave a deep impression on you. Ahmedabad is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River and is the twin city of Gandhinagar, the official capital of Gujarat. The distance between the two cities is only 25 kilometers. However, Ahmedabad has established itself as not only India’s first city to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but also the second largest cotton producer and the country’s influential economic and industrial center. .

During my visit to Ahmedabad, I was introduced to various buildings, most of which are lurking in the narrow streets of the old city. Then there are ancient temples, step wells, mosques and groundbreaking designs such as Narendra Modi Stadium, SVP Sports Enclave, and some exquisite museums, restaurants and rows of bustling skyscrapers.Thrown at the street food scene Ahmedabad This is “completely” worth a visit!

Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar, the official capital of Gujarat, is about 25 kilometers away from Ahmedabad. It is located on the west bank of the Sabarmati River and is “mainly” visited for the Aksadem Temple, a Hindu chapel dedicated to eternal peace, literacy and alliance. Built from 6000 tons of pink sandstone: this shrine is a modest sacrifice dedicated to Shree Swaminarayan and other Hindu philosophers. In addition to this eternal and unified establishment, Gandhinagar is also a planned city based purely on Indian companies, because Gujarat is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi.
Saputara

Shrouded in mist and flowing clouds is Saputara, the only mountain station in Gujarat, with some of the best views of Sahyadris or the Western Ghats. Saputara, located in the Dang district of Gujarat, attracts a large number of tourists throughout the year because of its multiple attractions, including some wide waterfalls and ancient temples.Read my article Ten things to do in Saputara Knowing all the places in and out of this town will make you want to spend more time here.
Rajkot
Following cities such as Ahmedabad and Vadodara, Rajkot is another populous jewel in the crown of Gujarat State of Solashtra. Rajkot has won the title of one of the cleanest cities in India, and now it is ready to marvel at its administrative headquarters located on the banks of the Aji and Nyari rivers. This city is “special” because it is the hometown of Mahatma Gandhi and played a vital role in the Indian independence movement.
From 1948 to 1956, it was also the capital of Solashtra State, before being merged into Gujarat in 1960. Even in modern times, Rajkot’s culture is booming and you can explore some of its most famous attractions (such as Mahatma Gandhi Museum), Watson Museum, Aji Dam and Jubilee Garden.
Bobanda
Porbandar, as its name suggests, is a port city in Gujarat. The most famous is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, who is one of the most famous leaders in the world. Porbandar is also the birthplace of Sudama (Lord Krishna’s friend), so this city is also known as Sudamapuri. However, after Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution to the independence movement, it was once the ancient capital of the princely kingdom of Pobandar and continued to become the “main” tourist town.
The area around Gandhi’s house eventually became a temple of peace. Most tourists visiting Porbandar enjoy walking along its long Chowpati (coastline) beach and visiting Kirti Mandir, monuments related to Mahatma Gandhi, and the remains of the small village of Harappan from the 16th to 14th centuries.
What to eat in Gujarat?
Before I went to Gujarat for the first time, I often associated this state with Dhokla and Khakhra. However, Gujarat has a lot to offer in terms of food diversity, and each of its regions provides unique tastes for Gujarat cuisine. Gujarati cuisine is one of India’s oldest culinary treasures. Even if it is vegetarian in nature, it allows you to taste a variety of flavors, whether it is Farsans (snacks), kimchi or main dishes with high nutritional value.
