Ma, a 31-year-old former food delivery driver, was accused of chanting slogans, displaying placards and quotes to reporters at 20 different gatherings between August and November last year in an attempt to separate Hong Kong from China.
Most people are based on National Security Law Refused to bail, Ma has been detained since his arrest 10 months ago. If convicted, he will face up to seven years in prison.
The prosecutor said that Jack Ma’s slogans for inciting secession include “Recover Hong Kong, revolution of the times”, “The only way out for Hong Kong independence”, “Hong Kong people build their own country”, “One country, one port” and so on. “Unite together, armed uprising”.
Judge Guoan previously ruled in the July trial that the popular protest slogan “Recover Hong Kong, Revolution of the Times” was separatism.
The prosecutor said that Ma has made it clear that he intends to challenge the National Security Law and called on others to protest its implementation.
