Hong Kong people accept national security trial for protest slogans


Ma, a 31-year-old former food delivery driver, was accused of chanting slogans, displaying placards and quotes to reporters at 20 different gatherings between August and November last year in an attempt to separate Hong Kong from China.

Judge Guoan previously ruled in the July trial that the popular protest slogan “Recover Hong Kong, Revolution of the Times” was separatism.

The prosecutor said that Ma has made it clear that he intends to challenge the National Security Law and called on others to protest its implementation.
