Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s daughter Cheney talked about her views on other members of the Republican Party in a speech at the School of Political Science at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire on Tuesday. She called the former president’s behavior an unprecedented threat.
Cheney said in his speech: “At this moment, the most important time… we are facing unprecedented domestic threats.” “A former president who tried to unravel the foundations of our constitutional republic.”
Cheney also added that Trump’s efforts have been “helped by political leaders who are willing to take themselves hostage to this dangerous and irrational man”.
Cheney pointed out that although the former president has no government power, he is still part of the Republican Party to a large extent.
“Just last night, former President Trump was invited by House Republican leaders to deliver a keynote speech at our annual large-scale fundraising dinner,” Cheney continued. “[Trump] According to reports, once again, the uprising took place on November 3, and the incident on January 6… is a kind of protest and is justified. “
“Political leaders who remain silent in the face of these false and dangerous claims are helping a former president who is at war with the rule of law and the constitution,” she added. “When our constitutional order is threatened, as it is now, transcending partisan prejudice is not just a desire-it is an obligation.”

Cheney has become one of the harshest critics of former President Trump and is one of the few Republicans Support his second impeachment after the January 6 uprising.
She is currently the deputy chairman of the House Special Committee on the January 6 attacks and is one of only two Republicans appointed to the investigation team.
However, many Republican members opposed Cheney’s actions against Trump.

Despite this, Cheney continued to work hard to reduce Trump’s influence and said she hopes to play a leading role in the future Republican Party.
After she did not rule out running for president in 2024, she also stirred up speculation in the media about her future ambitions.
