The dead woman was mutilated and buried in the backyard by the squatter who moved into her house: police

According to police, a dead woman in Las Vegas was mutilated by a group of squatters and buried in her backyard before moving into her home and taking over her finances.

According to a local news station, in April this year, police found that the 82-year-old Lucille Payne’s body was buried in the backyard of her home on Shore Breeze Drive. Classroom TVThe investigation team (I-Team).

The homicide investigator told the media that Payne lived alone without any close relatives, so when she died in 2018, her body was not found. Investigators said they believed Payne’s body was originally discovered by a group of squatters who took over her home after realizing the house looked empty.

“After finding her, several people decided to dismember her body and bury her,” subway homicide lieutenant Ray Spencer told KLAS-TV. “Then basically exhausted her finances and sold her property fraudulently.”

Payne’s neighbors said that her house had been empty for many years, but it was not reported until April this year that the police became suspicious of her home.

Spencer told the news station that “she was not buried very deep” and Payne’s body was quickly found.

“A police officer started to move the dirt and found her arm in a very shallow grave in the backyard,” he said.

After her body was first discovered in April, the Clark County Coroner’s Office announced in August that Payne’s death was convicted of homicide, as a result of stabbing and blunt trauma. In an interview with KLAS-TV, Spencer said that although the police previously believed that Payne was murdered, new evidence shows that Payne died a few years before her body was found in April.

Spencer told the local news station: “The neighbors next door were able to confirm to us that they heard the excavation in the previous few weeks.” “There is a lot of work to be done to ensure that we discover all the potential possibilities that have happened.”

According to KLAS-TV, the group of squatters sold some of Payne’s belongings, including her car. According to KLAS-TV, the unidentified suspect is currently facing charges related to the sale of Penn’s belongings and improper burial.
