A woman boycotted her sister wedding After the bride-to-be requested that the disabled husband of her siblings be excluded from all family photos.
The shocking requirements are detailed in the shared post Reddit“I am A ** Hole” forum, which has received more than 11,700 votes.
In the post, the lady described how she and her husband looked forward to her sister’s wedding, but when the invitation passed, it was just sent to her.
“When I called my sister to inquire about this, she said that my husband could of course come, but she asked him not to appear in any family photos,” she wrote.
The woman explained that her husband had been in a wheelchair since he was 16 years old. She has been married to him for 8 years, and her family “always knew that he was sitting in his chair.”
Despite this, her sister told her that she “doesn’t want him to appear in any of her wedding photos because she is afraid that he will take his attention away from her because he is’different’.”
The bride tried to prove that her decision was correct. She said that whenever people look at family photos, “they always ask him” because “he is the only person in a wheelchair, so he stands out.”
“She said she wanted to be the main focus in her photos,” the woman said.
This request was met with understandable anger.
“I’m very angry,” the lady wrote. “I left her and told her she was a selfish bride. I told her we would not come.”
The lady said that since the quarrel, she has been receiving calls from her parents and other relatives asking her to apologize to her sister because she was upset before the wedding.
However, this will only further exacerbate the situation, and the woman is now also angry with her family because she thinks it is okay to exclude her husband from the family photo.
She said that her husband “hates to be a burden to others”, and although he told her that he did not appear in the photo, this reaction only increased her anger, because she thinks he now “feels bad about himself”.
Although her family feels different, the lady decided to skip her sister’s upcoming wedding and won enthusiastic support on Reddit.
McLady Bulldog called the bride’s request “unacceptable.”
“This is definitely a problem you need to fight for,” they wrote. “Don’t feel any guilt for her. This is terrible, she needs to overcome herself.”
AcanthisittaNo2996 accused the bride of being “unreasonable, self-centered and capable.”
“No one wants to stand out because you have a disability, but unfortunately this will be pointed out over and over again,” they said. “He should have the right to be there like everyone else.”
Responsible_dirt946 Tell the woman to stand her ground.
“Fighting for your husband, but also fighting for this opportunity to educate her about total discrimination and exclusion of those who, as she said,’different’ people.” They commented.
“What happened to those people?” Eleven asked. “You can’t just edit someone in your family because they don’t fit your photos. If it were me, these photos would remind me that I treat someone as rubbish because of the’crime’ of a disabled person.”
Cat_got_ya_tongue told this lady that her bride-to-be sister “disrespects” her marriage and apparently “does not understand interpersonal relationships.”
“Your sister cares more about photos than humans,” they said. “Tell her to hire some actors who seem to fit her requirements perfectly. This way she can get the perfect moment without you having to be there.”

Bridezillas may be a very common thing, but research shows that demanding brides and grooms rarely bring a happy marriage.
Researchers from the National University of Singapore and Emory University found that the cost of the engagement ring and the ceremony itself are actually inversely proportional to the duration of the marriage.
A survey of 3,000 marriages in the United States found that couples whose wedding expenses were less than US$1,000 were less likely to get divorced than those whose wedding expenses were more than US$20,000.
The study also found that divorce is more common among couples whose beauty is the main reason for their initial union.
Of course, this is not the first time a bride has attracted attention on social media.
In another recent story, Excessive demands of a bride Fearing rising costs, at least one bridesmaid resigned from her role in the ceremony.
