Clover Foods has issued a recall notice, its business is Golden Canyon Meat CompanyFor raw minced beef patties, due to possible contamination problems, hard white plastics are involved, which may introduce foreign matter into the meat.
The recall affects almost 6,876 pounds of raw minced beef patties It was produced on October 21 and the batch number is 29421. The recalled meat also has the plant number EST 6239 in the inspection mark of the United States Department of Agriculture.
The contaminated raw ground beef patties were shipped to restaurants in Arizona and California.
The recall includes:
- 11.25-pound box containing vacuum-packed single-layer Gold Canyon Meat CO “Beef Sandwich Meat Patties, 6 oz Gourmet Prime”, with the product number 4512991 on the label.
- A 12-pound box containing a vacuum-packed single-layer Gold Canyon Meat CO “Beef Sandwich Meatloaf, Ground 2X1 Gourmet USDA Prime”, the product number on the label is 4757111.
- The 12-pound box contains a vacuum-packed single-layer Gold Canyon Meat CO “Beef Chuck Pattie, Ground Slider Angus 6X1”, and the product number on the label is 3752811.
- A 12-pound box containing a vacuum-packed single-layer Gold Canyon Meat CO “Beef Sandwich Cutlet, Ground 6 oz 6 Wide Cedar River Natural USDA Selection”, the product number on the label is 3138361.
- A 12-pound box containing a vacuum-packed single-layer Gold Canyon Meat CO “Beef Chuck Pattie, Ground 8Z Cedar River Natural USDA Choice”, with the product number 3962551 on the label.
- The 12.25 lb box contains a vacuum-packed single-layer Gold Canyon Meat CO “Beef Sandwich Meat Patties, Ground Angus 7Z Cryo 2-6 lb Sleeves”, and the product number on the label is 3942041.
- The 12.25-pound box contains vacuum-packed, single-layer stacked Gold Canyon Meat CO “Beef Sandwich Cutlets, Ground Angus 7Z”, with the product number 3926911 on the label.
Gold Canyon Meat Company stated that they discovered the problem after receiving complaints from restaurant staff that beef patties contained hard white plastic during the preparation process.
Urges restaurants to check their refrigerators and freezers for recalled meatloaf. They should not be delivered and it is recommended to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
