Bhutan purchased 15 4x armored vehicles from Thai manufacturers for UN peacekeeping operations


The Bhutanese government received 15 new First Win 4×4 armored vehicles purchased from Thailand, which will be used in UN peacekeeping operations in Africa.

The vehicle is manufactured by a Thai company Chaiseri Defense And on November 19, 2021, at the Office of the Permanent Minister of Defense in Nonthaburi Province, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Thailand, General Chai Changchang Mengku, was handed over to the Bhutanese Ambassador to Thailand, Kim Zang Dorje.

These vehicles will be used by the Royal Bhutan Army’s UN peacekeeping contingent in the Central African Republic starting next month.

General Worakiat Rattananont, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Thailand, stated that Bhutan chose the First Win armored vehicle because Chaiseri’s capabilities, performance and quality have passed the certification of the Thai Ministry of Defense.

The 15 armored vehicles purchased by Bhutan are:

  1. First victory 4×4 armored personnel carrier
  2. First victory 4×4 armored command vehicle
  3. First victory 4×4 armored ambulance
  4. First victory 4×4 armored tactical vehicle

Bhutan became the fourth country to use the Chaiseri First Win 4×4 armored vehicle platform.
