Marketing Trends for Small Businesses in 2022 [Trends]


Yes, it’s that time of year again. It’s time for a lot of people like me to talk about what we see on the horizon, so that people like you might be more prepared for the upcoming marketing shift.

In many ways, I think that real service positions like this kind of performance are naming things that people have already begun to feel. I do not claim to have a special understanding of the future, I see things through the lens of what I have learned through thousands of conversations with business owners and influential people.

This is my prediction for 2021

· Attention becomes a survival mechanism – This is difficult to quantify, but I think companies that are revisited during most stages of the customer journey are winning.

· Everything becomes smaller – More personal, maybe, less uncertainty.

· AI becomes practical – Solved this problem – Nowadays you cannot develop applications without AI technology.

· Talent investment returns to fashion – I don’t know, the great resignation caused so many quarrels that I’m not sure whether investment is the correct term

· Video becomes personal again – Of course, videos including 1:1 videos are very popular, but I don’t think I think of audio explosions as personal media.

· UX and SEO are closely linked – Yes, another one implemented by Google.

· The coaching team continues to grow – In my opinion, this still exists, but I am still optimistic about the changes in how people (including marketing agencies) position their work.

After completing these chores, let’s continue to discuss what I think will be the main trends for small businesses in 2022.

Brand purpose replaces authenticity.

Authenticity is a buzzword with a history of ten years, and it is difficult for most people to define, let alone pass it on. One of the things that the big change in the third year does is to force people to find meaning in their work, which of course is what their brand represents, promises and delivers.

I hope this idea will become an important differentiating factor for the brand. People will make choices based more on the connection with the brand. Who knows how long this will last, but for now, make sure you help people understand your position.

Activity is still virtual.

If you want to call it a trend that will end in the fall of 2021, but alas, it will continue into 2022 and continue to affect business travel habits and educational habits.

I look for many important events to better handle mixed products. I also think that a team of 8-10 people going through an experience together will replace a typical course or membership plan.

Co-marketing is no longer a big business game.

I have always liked joint marketing. When you think about this, you might immediately think of Red Bull and GoPro, but any business can do this.

Since it is almost impossible to make a phone call or even establish a good network, why not seek other companies to help you gain the favor of potential customers.

Co-marketing is essentially a distortion of recommendations, but its passive nature can create a lot of exposure. I think this idea will really become popular among proactive small businesses in 2022.

Small business learns to outsource content.

Let’s start with two facts-content is air, and creating useful content is hard work. Most large organizations create the content storm they need for each stage of the customer journey by establishing content teams and outsourcing large amounts of content production to freelancers and agencies.

With the emergence of artificial intelligence in the field of content creation, many small businesses will be able to compete in content games by hiring cheap content partners equipped with artificial intelligence tools.

NFT already

If you haven’t been online recently, NFT stands for irreplaceable tokens, which of course means very few. If you need to fully understand everything about cryptocurrency, please read this idea.

NFT caused a huge sensation in 2020 and 2021, mainly in the field of collecting digital art.
