11 fashion trends to watch in 2022

Hello! It would be wrong to start in 2022 without talking about what trends we can expect to see this year. Since February is just around the corner, I figured I could put it under the wire.I created a fun Trend Report Video Chat on my YouTube channel to chat about some of the fashion trends that are casually awaiting their big debut this year. Whether that means they make their way into your wardrobe or just your peripheral vision is up to you. Without further ado, here are 11 fashion trends to add to your wardrobe (or at least mentally prepare yourself) in 2022.

miniskirt

Remember when Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie showed off miniskirts that could easily be mistaken for belts? good. They are back! Get ready to show some major legs, as these shameful little dresses hit the runway last year. I know, I’m shocked too, but I really like the idea of trying this trend when it’s cold so you can wear military boots over tights. If you’re feeling extra bold, try layering a miniskirt over the top of an oversized blouse skirt so the skirt can hang at the bottom. Might be an atmosphere, no?

catsuit

I kind of like this new trend, I’ve seen it spread on Instagram. The catsuit is a tight fit for the ski slopes, but makes it an urban one-piece with a major attitude. I really think it can work with any body type depending on your comfort level and can be paired with chunky boots or heels.

stirrup pants

The stirrup pant trend is definitely a no-brainer for me, I feel like they could easily be styled differently.i even did a small video Showing you how I designed them three ways, so check it out for inspiration. These are basically leggings with stirrup straps at the bottom that you can wear inside or out of your shoe. They exude a relaxed chic equestrian vibe with a touch of ’80s nostalgia, which I love.

chain belt

I haven’t tried this trend yet, but I’m looking forward to getting my own chain. I love the idea of adding jewelry details to an outfit to create an interesting focal point. The chain strap really accentuates the midsection and reminds me of the Chanel show in the ’80s.

low waist pants

It makes me sad to admit that these super low-rise pants are back, but here we are. I’ve seen some dangerous low pants on the runway and on social media, and it takes me back to the days of Frankie B pants. I’m a high waist pants lover myself, but know me, I’ll try it sooner or later. swallow.

bra top

Clothes are shrinking, ladies. I just want to balance the proportions of my look, which means picking one erogenous zone and masking the rest. I think a bra top would be cute with high-waisted trousers, an oversized blazer, and dad sneakers. It’s all about contrast.
