Global defense and homeland security company MKU is proud to announce the launch of a combat helmet designed so that Sikh soldiers can wear it comfortably under a turban. MKU dedicates this helmet, aptly named the “Veer” helmet (Model: KAVRO SCH 111 T), to the heroic spirit of Sikh soldiers, both at home and abroad, for generations.

MKU also previously executed India’s largest helmet contract for 159,000 ballistic helmets for the Indian Ministry of Defense.

“We found that Sikh troops needed better head protection,” said MKU president Manoj Gupta.

“Despite contributing so much to national security and defence in India and around the world, Sikh soldiers do not have adequate head protection against ballistic threats that can be worn comfortably without sacrificing their beliefs or identity. We The initiative is to develop the “Veer” helmet system based on MKU’s main motto “Empowering Heroes”. Our empowered heroes defend our freedom, safety and way of life. And who better embodies this than our Sikh soldiers Heroism!”

Like all other MKU Kavro ballistic helmets, the “Veer” helmet is compatible with MACS (Modular Accessory Connector System), the first multi-accessory mounting system of its kind, enabling head-mounted sensors and modern combat equipment such as communications systems , night vision goggles and camera on helmet.

Sadly, in the armed forces of India as well as the rest of the world, Sikhs have not had helmets that can be worn comfortably under the turban before, causing them to suffer serious injuries and even death as a result.

Veer helmets avoid this by providing all-around protection up to Class IIIA against high-velocity debris. It is lightweight, antifungal, antiallergic, weatherproof, chemically safe, flame retardant, and has excellent shock absorption.

The ballistic protection (V0) provided by the Veer helmet allows it to withstand pistol and submachine gun fire.

Neeraj Gupta, Managing Director of MKU, said: “A Sikh turban is his pride. It is not only a creed, it is a symbol of courage, self-respect, devotion and piety, it is an important sign of Sikh identity. Even without a comfortable helmet to come Protecting them, India’s Sikh soldiers don’t hesitate to face bullets. The ‘Veer’ helmet from MKU offers heroic Sikh soldiers the option to protect their bodies and lives while continuing to wear their turbans. We at MKU are delighted to be able to tailor this one-of-a-kind ballistic helmet for our Sikh soldiers.”
