“When the ‘Made in Laos’ fragrance brand was launched, it had its own challenges because we didn’t know what kind of response we would get from the market. However, I’m happy to say that the response was very good,” said Soukthavy, Chairman of HSMM Fragrance Chowdhury said.
“We are achieving good brand awareness and the market is very supportive of the brand,” he added.
Currently, the fragrances are available at the HSMM Fragrance store at Parkson Shopping Centre on Kjouvieng Road in downtown Vientiane. To attract more customers, the brand will open its own stores “soon” at duty-free shops at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane and duty-free shops at Luang Prabang Airport.
As a next step, the brand aims to promote “Made in Laos” products globally, Soukthavy said, adding that there is already interest from potential buyers or sales partners in Dubai and Kuwait.
