The feud between UFC opponents and Dustin Poirier had already begun before Saturday’s UFC 264 rubber game.
Due to the ongoing UFC competition between McGregor and Poirier, UFC 264 has become one of the most watched events this year. But their recent comments may indicate that this is more than just winning their third fight.
During the confrontation between the two UFC 264 official weighingMcGregor told UFC color commentator Joe Logan that Boyrill’s disrespect for his “goodwill” seemed to be referring to the controversy surrounding what he called botched donations to rival charities.
“Joe, in 16 hours, this person will learn that if you don’t respect a person’s kindness and treat it as a weakness, you have to pay,” McGregor said. “Tomorrow night, I will make this person pay the price of his life, I am serious. Tomorrow night you will die in that octagon.”
Recall that Poirier suddenly claimed that McGregor and his team “Stop respondingWhen discussing $500,000, the latter promised to donate to Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation before their January rematch. After Poirier claimed that McGregor had broken his promise, the two exchanged fierce remarks, which caused the latter to donate $500,000 to the Boys and Girls Club in Louisiana.
McGregor bluntly documented the donation controversy in an interview recently British Telecom Sports.
“I participated in a reputable charity in the area,” the first two-level champion explained. “I said I want to donate. Like I said, it started as a charity event. It will be a charity event and the profits from the event will be used for charity. So when the game is actually announced, when we When I went under the UFC banner, I persevered. I said,’I will still help you. I will still give you Digo.’ Then you know it, that’s it.”
“I’m glad it disappeared,” he continued. “It went to the boys and girls clubs in academia. Rather than just random MMA gyms for profit, this is basically the purpose of experimentation.”
After the Irish dragged the latter’s wife Julie into their feud, the feud between McGregor and Boyle seemed to get worse.
Earlier this week, McGregor posted a Screenshot Obvious Instagram message request from Julie. At the UFC 264 press conference on Thursday night, McGregor said “Your wife is your husband” and then tried to start an ode to Poirier’s “Julie’s Wife”.
Poirier then commented on McGregor on Twitter: “Your trash talk is as thin as your hair these days! See you soon, champion champion,” in a photo of an Irish fighter.
McGregor Replied, “Your wife wants to see the hair around my d–k and b—s brothers. See what it looks like. This is a real news request partner, no rubbish. Person to person. Really fucking Yes! I have seen your interview with Mike and you think it is fake. No. Anyway, think about it in the sauna.”
When commenting on the opponent’s claims, Poirier said that McGregor’s screenshots were “fabricated” and were only part of a pre-war trash talk.
“If this is true, my wife is sending him a message or something similar, then this is a good move,” Poirier tell Michael Bisping in a recent interview. “But if it is fabricated, or… so you know, my wife and I laughed at it when I was in the grocery store yesterday. But it’s just… there are no restrictions in st-talk .”
