since i have been meal plan Every week, I find that we try more new recipes. My husband is an excellent cook so we both cook different recipes and we can enjoy many different meals. We’ve also reduced food waste and been more frugal since meal planning. The latest recipe we tried was this super delicious Slimming World Keema Curry Pie and it was amazing! A lovely curry mince with a turmeric mashed potato topping makes for a warm and hearty meal.

for filling
2 garlic cloves
1 onion, quartered
low calorie cooking spray
1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
250g lean turkey breast 5% or less fat
250g lean ground beef 5% or less fat
1 x Beef Broth
2 tbsp medium curry powder
400g canned chopped tomatoes
salt and freshly ground black pepper
200g frozen peas
Steamed vegetables to serve
for mashing
1 1/4 teaspoons turmeric
125g nonfat natural Greek yogurt and extra to serve
1kg flour potatoes, Desiree or King Edwards
method
1 Puree the onion, garlic, and ginger in a food processor.
2 Spray a deep frying pan with low heat cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Heat ground beef until brown and remove from pan. Then repeat with ground turkey.
Sauté the onion paste for a minute or so, then add the curry powder and stir for a minute.
3 Crush the stock cubes over the mixture, add both minced meats to the pot, then add the tomatoes and a jar full of water. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, add peas and season.
4 Continue to mash. Cook potatoes with turmeric for 8-12 minutes. Drain and steam dry in a pot. Mash yogurt and season.
Preheat oven to 220°C / Fan Assisted Oven 200°C / Gas 7.
5 Place minced meat in 4 separate oven-proof pie pans, then top with mashed potatoes. Lightly spray with low heat cooking spray.
6 Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
7 Serve with yogurt and steamed vegetables.

- 250 grams lean ground turkey 5% or less fat
- 250 grams minced lean beef 5% or less fat
- 1 beef nuggets
- 2 spoon medium curry powder
- 400 grams canned chopped tomatoes
- salt and fresh pepper
- 200 g frozen peas
- Steamed vegetables to serve

- 1¼ teaspoon turmeric
- 125 grams Fat-Free Natural Greek Yogurt extra service
- 1 kilograms flour potatoes siri or king edwards
