Our Sustainability Program Interns This Summer
The Earth Institute is seeking a intern Work with our Sustainability Program, both graduate and undergraduate. Interns will allocate their time between project management for the Sustainability undergraduate program and outreach and marketing for the Earth Institute graduate program. Support can also be sought for the Earth Institute’s professional development and alumni activities. The ideal candidate will have experience communicating, coordinating events, and working on a variety of projects in a highly professional environment.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: updating and generating web content, contributing to social media strategy, event planning and staffing, drafting and editing articles/materials, updating program materials, managing a large database of contacts and calling out specific outreach program.
Required skills:
- Applicants should be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with social media (including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and MailChimp) and MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
- The ideal candidate will be personable, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and precise.
- A strong interest in the environment and sustainability is preferred, but not required.
Required Student Type:
Graduate or undergraduate students. Students enrolled or planning to declare a Sustainability Major/Special Concentration or students enrolled in a Graduate Sustainability Program are not eligible to apply.
compensation:
$21/hour, 10-15 hours/week. Positioning begins in early June.
