- steak – The best cuts of beef jerky are lean, economical and tasty. I used flank steak, but top round, bottom round, brisket or skirt steak are all good choices.i get mine Grass-fed beef delivered to my door.

How to Make Beef Jerky

- Season properly. Be sure to give the steak enough time to marinate so it can really absorb all the flavors from the marinade. A minimum of 30 minutes, but better overnight or a maximum of 24 hours.

- Shop: Store homemade beef jerky at room temperature in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, such as a pantry, for up to 1-2 months.
- freeze: For longer storage time, you can freeze jerky for up to 1 year. Thaw to room temperature before serving.
