Life gets hectic – at Groomit, we get it!
After sending the kids to nursery, going to work, shopping for groceries and cooking on the way home, there is usually very little time left. Even the most organized people are under time pressure. Therefore, caring for your dog between grooming appointments can be challenging.
There is no space in the schedule.
However, busy pet owners do have options!
Although the groom’s Mobile Beauty Services To make booking easy and stress-free, there are several other ways to keep your dog looking great.
Wondering how to do it?
brush your teeth regularly
Does Fido look a little shabby? Do you regularly vacuum your carpets and furniture for dead hair? If so, your dog will benefit from regular brushing. Both cat and dog owners should brush their pets’ teeth weekly. Even a 5-minute brush is effective in reducing shedding.
Additionally, dogs with medium to long hair need to be brushed weekly to prevent knots and tangles. When groomers brush dogs, they don’t just make them look good (though that’s a bonus!). Instead, beauticians are working to remove loose hair, dead skin, dander, any debris, etc.
Can’t book an at-home grooming appointment until next month? Take some time every few days to brush your teeth well.
Keep pet wipes close by
Next, use wipes to care for your cat or dog between grooming appointments. Humans wash their faces every day. Of course, cats will lick themselves. Dogs do their best to clean their muzzles and toes. But nothing is more important than a thorough face wash.
Removes eye wax and ear wax buildup. Either wet a napkin or use a brand of wipes made for pets to remove dirt and grease. Be especially careful around your pet’s sensitive eyes. A thorough wipe from time to time will reduce bacteria and minimize the risk of infection.
This is especially true for wrinkled breeds, such as pugs.
Laundry bedding and sheets
Here’s another brilliant idea: Do laundry for your pet.
Responsible pet owners will notice if their animals start to smell. However, how often do we wash their bedding? You’ll never climb under a blanket in dirty outdoor clothes with grass stains on them. However, this is what cats and dogs often do! As a result, beds, blankets, and sheets may start to smell bad.
And the less you wash, the more stinky your pet will be…
So, clean their bedding and make your pet smell like a flower field. This little gesture goes a long way between beauty appointments.
brush your dog’s teeth
did you know? Adult dogs have 42 teeth. Like people, oral hygiene is an important aspect of overall health. A dog who never brushes his teeth can build up plaque. Over time, this can lead to cavities, gum disease, and infections.
Try brushing your dog’s teeth between trips to the groomer and veterinarian. Pet stores sell dog toothpaste (along with dog toothbrushes) for easy cleaning.
After all, what puppy doesn’t love chicken-flavored toothpaste?
Use door blankets and cushions
Fifth, Groomit dog groomers recommend placing mats at home. Our four-legged friends must be outside to use the toilet, rain or shine! Unfortunately, the outside inevitably gets carried inside with wet fur and dirty claws.
To keep your home and pets looking as good as new, keep a mat by the door. Please encourage them to wipe their feet before coming in. Towels are also great. Even a quick 20-second scrubbing before entering the house will go a long way in reducing how dirty your dog is before seeing the groomer again.
Get stylish with a coat and booties.
Finally, why not buy some clothes for your puppy?
The purpose of this is twofold. First off, the coat and boots are lovely. There’s nothing cuter than seeing a French bulldog waddle down the street in a red parka and mini booties. Second, these clothes will keep your dog warm and dry. Dogs living in cold or humid climates will find snow clinging to their fur. Likewise, long-haired dogs get tangled in their fur when they get wet and don’t dry out properly afterwards.
Stop this beauty nightmare with a quality waterproof jacket.
