StepSetGo partners with Symbo Health Insurance for a ‘big win’ for your fitness goals


The new-age fitness startup has launched pocket-sized health insurance on its app that users can redeem for premiums by hitting fitness goals

Nationwide, June 2022: StepSetGo (SSG) is an award-winning health and fitness industry disruptor, giving you even more reasons to keep walking and staying fit. SSG has partnered with leading insurtech company Symbo Insurance to launch a unique, budget-friendly health insurance called, SSG Health Insurance on its app.This StepSetGo App users can make special redemptions on the app based on their fitness activities.

All users of this plan have many benefits. In addition to the 300,000 and 500,000 sum assured options, the health insurance covers pre- and post-hospital costs and a 95% claims rate, which is 20% lower premiums compared to the market average. Users can choose between two types of coverage to make the already lowest cost of coverage more affordable. To initiate the process, users must purchase insurance through the SSG app, participate in specially curated “walking challenges,” and have the opportunity to earn benefits by meeting challenge goals.

Commenting on the launch, StepSetGo CEO and co-founder Shivjeet Ghatge said: “Launching insurance on our app is a game changer for the fitness industry. The SSG Health package connects our users’ fitness goals with incentives, and we can achieve both. The first is providing our users with affordable insurance, which is critical to ensuring they have access to critical care when they need it. These rewards are awarded in the form of monthly reward points, which can be claimed by reaching their step goals in the app. For example, any user who completes 60,000 steps in a month (an average of 2,000 steps per day) can take advantage of bonus points on the app. To earn the maximum reward points of up to 25% of the cost, users must complete 4,50,000 steps per month (average 15,000 steps per day). Users can also keep track of the total steps completed and the amount they requested. This will further motivate them to be consistent as they can see how far they have come.
