- bacon – This recipe will cook in a skillet on the stove, but you can cook Bacon in the oven or Microwave Bacon to save spatter and time.
- grape tomatoes – You can also use cherry tomatoes, or any tomato you like. For larger ones, seed them and chop.
- lettuce – This is the most classic lettuce in the BLT flavor, but feel free to substitute a different lettuce or any vegetable.

How to eat stuffed avocados?
The best way to eat avocado stuffing recipes is to use a spoon. Just scoop out bite marks that include some filling and some outside edges of the avocado.
Storage Instructions
- Shop: Stuffed avocado recipes are best fresh, so I don’t recommend storing them for later. Because avocados brown quickly after being cut, it’s best to make them right before serving. However, you can prepare all the fillings ahead of time. If you have leftovers, drizzle the avocados with extra lime juice to reduce browning and store in the refrigerator for a day or two.
- Meal preparation: Prepare bacon and slice all other vegetables. Halve and mash avocados before serving.
- freeze: you can frozen avocado, but it’s better to enjoy them later as part of a recipe instead of simply enjoying them. I don’t recommend freezing the stuffed ones because the texture of the avocado flesh and most stuffing options don’t go well after thawing.
