Is wine tasting in Stellenbosch safe?
Is Cape Town safe? For tourists to visit in 2023? Yes! Like any major city in the United States, Cape Town has its share of crime. However, if you follow my simple rules, you will likely find that South Africa is safe, and Cape Town in particular is as safe as most popular tourist destinations.
Cape Town, the second largest city in South Africa and the capital of the Western Cape Province, is a city of great importance: it is the legislative capital of South Africa and houses the Houses of Parliament.
Located in the southwestern corner of the country, near the Cape of Good Hope, it is the southernmost city in Africa.
While some people may conjure typical stereotypes when they hear the word “South Africa”, Cape Town is nothing like what one might imagine.
Cape Town is a busy city. As with many world cities and popular holiday destinations, there are areas where tourists are safe and areas tourists should avoid, but Stellenbosch is not an area you have to worry about, so enjoy yourself!
Are any of my favorite Stellenbosch wineries on your spring 2023 bucket list?
