According to fire officials, the piracy fire in Oregon has now expanded to more than 212,000 acres and may not be fully controlled until autumn.

In the past few days, dry and hot weather has expanded the scale of piracy fires. The fire burned about 50,000 acres last week, but it spread to about 153,000 acres by Monday. On Tuesday, fire officials reported on InciWeb that the piracy fire burned 201,923 acres, indicating that it increased by more than a third overnight.
Many photos of pirated fires have been posted on social media, showing its size and the smoke path of the fire.
