It’s hard to believe we’re already in May, how did this happen? ! April is a good month, with some stressful appointments, but generally enjoyable. If you’re new here, my likes and loves are my way of keeping track of what we’ve enjoyed in the last month. It’s a great way to appreciate the little things, and a great way to discover new products to try.

*Candle Mimi
I love burning wax melts and candles in my home. They just make the house feel super cozy.
I recently discovered Ava May perfume They are such a lovely brand. They carry an amazing variety of home fragrances, wax melts, candles, burners, reed diffusers, aromatherapy oils, and more!
I’ve been burning their gorgeous Baby Powder wax melts and Fairy Soft Single Wax Disc and my house definitely smells Astonishing! They are definitely my new favorites.
In fact, I had a friend the other day and she couldn’t get over how lovely these scents are. She loves them so much she’s going to order some delicious ones for herself!

* Buckwheat tea
I love my tea and can drink many cups throughout the day!One type of tea (well, not actually tea) that I’ve never heard of is buckwheat tea.
Buckwheat tea, also known as buckwheat tea in Japan, Memil-cha in Korea, and Kuqiao-cha in China, can be served hot or cold. It is made from roasted buckwheat and kernels.
The benefits of buckwheat tea are –
- decaffeinated
- gluten free
- sugar free
- Calming and soothing
- Rich in Nutrients and Antioxidants
- Anti-inflammatory (drug
- Aids digestion and weight loss
It is said to be a deliciously smooth, flavorful tea with a hint of nuttiness, and I agree with that. It has a unique nutty smell, but without a pungent taste, it is very mild.
I really like it, but I haven’t tried cooling it with a little lemon.
The buckwheat tea costs £9.99 for a pack of 15 teabags. While that sounds expensive, I’d say this tea is an ideal treat. And each tea bag can be used 3 times, more valuable in the long run.

Every spring, I always look forward to seeing beautiful flowers in front of our house. Sadly the weather in the UK is almost always wet and windy when it starts blooming! And blow it all off at once. Although it lasts beautifully.

Nothing brightens up a home like a beautiful bouquet of flowers.I love fresh flowers in my home and recently received a colorful spring bouquet flower shop.

I received a bouquet of sweet spring flowers. This includes a mix of pink and orange germinis, spray chrysanthemums, and complemented by cherry roses. I love these color combinations, they are obviously good strong flowers.
They are shipped by courier with tracking and are well packaged for shipping.
I think they would make a lovely gift for someone, maybe for birthdays and anniversaries, or even just to brighten someone’s day!
End of our first unit at university
Our first unit at university is over and it has been a lot of fun! I’ve been reading a book a week along with all the research for the weekly seminar questions. It was tough at times, but it pushed me out of my comfort zone and I learned a lot in such a short amount of time. I’m now half way through my upcoming thesis!
This is followed by one-on-one writing workshops. Both excited and nervous.
