Summer vacation is in full swing (summer weather doesn’t really matter), but we love having time to relax and have a lot of fun together.
Having said that, I think most parents agree with me on dragging your kids away from screens and technology! My two kids love their iPads, especially my youngest who is autistic and my oldest loves his gaming computer, and that’s okay. To be honest, I am not too strict, their youth is only once! I let them enjoy it, but I also like to balance it out with some outdoor time.
Luckily, we love spending a lot of time outdoors, so I’m going to share some kids toys and activities that are perfect for getting kids outside and having fun in the fresh air.
we’ve been playing this week trampoline tennis Thanks to the lovely folks at Happy Puzzles.

trampoline tennis
Throw it, catch it, bounce it! These versatile, trampoline-like disks are a lot of fun! They’ll get you and your family moving, playing and performing stunts together while developing a range of skills including hand/eye coordination, gross motor skills and concentration skills.
Trampoline tennis consists of two trampoline tennis discs and a specially made string ball.
As it says, these discs are like a mini trampoline. Each disc has a tight mesh surface that you can use to catch the ball and bounce it back and forth with your opponent.
The disc/bat is generously sized and lightweight for all ages.

The ball of rubber string perfectly accompanies the disk as it bounces real Well, let it fly into the air. Keep this in mind if you have obstructions in and around your garden.
We live on a real canal with a weir around our house and yes we hit the ball a little too hard! Can you spot our ball? Ha ha.
Thankfully, we got our ball back, but Happy Puzzles also offers replacement balls. Yo!

When you’ve had enough tennis, you can use the disc as a Frisbee, which is great fun at the beach!
We really enjoyed the trampoline tennis and it made for a great time in the garden.
I hope you’ve had a great summer so far.
