Halloween is always a great time, and every season you can host fun activities during the spooky season.’Terror parade’ in Channel Islands ports an annual event Oxnard, California. I watched this event with my family and the kids loved trick-or-treating and seeing the boats decorated with bright lights for Halloween.

Channel Islands harbor terror march
The Parade of Fear has several family activities to choose from, but the biggest draw is the boat parade. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Marine Emporium Landing and Peninsula Park areas of the harbor. If you arrive early you can see the boats queuing up.
this Channel Islands Maritime Museum Host a free ghost scavenger hunt at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum and Mysterious Whaler. My kids also loved checking out all the activities and boats. We did some arts and crafts, played some games, and got some candy.
After checking out the boat, we headed to the Channel Islands Farmers Market at Marine Emporium Landing. There’s an inflatable jumping area, trick-or-treating, music and plenty of space for the kids to run around. We checked out the local vendors and were delighted to see all the unique clothing. A costume contest and costume parade were held.
Since the parade was at 7pm we decided to have dinner at Channel Islands Harbor. We loved all the restaurants here including Waterside, Sea Fresh and Moqueca. You can’t go wrong dining here, and you can see the parade at most harbor restaurants.

The parade of terror began at the Harbor’s Ocean Mall Pier and Peninsula Park area. Boats head to the main channel, turn around at Kiddie Beach, loop around the launch ramp, and return to the Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club.
If you miss some action, the boat will circle twice.
