Required raw materials

  • chicken: You need 1 pound of chicken to make 4 burger patties.
  • Fragrance: We started with a mixture of onions, scallions, and carrots to create a flavor base for the burger (and sneak in some veggies!)
  • Egg: The eggs help bind everything together so the burgers hold their shape.

What toppings go on a chicken burger?

I love serving these freshly baked chicken burgers topped with lettuce or wrapped in lettuce with avocado, tomato, and scallions!

You can also put them on a bun for a more traditional burger and pile them on with your favorite toppings. Here are some additional topping ideas:

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Burgers

These delicious buffalo burgers are quick and easy to make! In just a few simple steps, they're ready to go straight into the oven.

  1. Prepare the fragrance: Place carrots, onions, and shallots in a food processor and blend. Pulse into small pieces.
  2. Make burger patties: In a large bowl, combine vegetable mixture with ground chicken, eggs, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until combined, but do not overmix. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Cooking and serving: Place the patties on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

How to keep chicken burgers from falling apart?

The key to a burger holding its shape is the egg! It adds moisture and helps bind everything together for the perfect texture. Without it, your burgers will be dry and crumbly!

To keep your burger patties nice and moist, be sure to remove them from the oven as soon as they are done. Overbaking will use up the moisture needed for perfect texture!
