The latest body camera footage shows that a brave policeman rescued children from a burning house in Chautokwa County, New York.
Monday, Jamestown Police Department Shared a video When Officer Mark Conklin reacted to a fire on William Street, his body camera captured this photo. Officials said he was handling a service call on Baker Street when he was warned of a possible house fire.
When Conklin rushed to the scene, he found a house engulfed by flames, with children and an adult trapped upstairs. Someone saw him running towards the house and began to pull one of the children out, telling them “Go, go, go.”
Then, when Conklin requested help from the Jamestown Fire Department over the radio, Conklin could be heard ordering the trapped persons to jump out of the windows upstairs before he continued to catch them.
“Come on, I caught you. I caught you. Jump. I caught you,” Conklin told those trapped inside.

inside Facebook After the release, Chief of Police Tim Jackson praised the officer’s efforts as one of the “most outstanding examples of bravery” he has witnessed in the police force.
Jackson wrote: “I can say that over the years, I have seen many examples of officer heroism.” “After watching the video of this incident and talking with other relevant personnel, I can say that the actions of Officer Conklin, at least It can be said to be one of the most outstanding examples of bravery, heroism and exemplary service I have ever seen.”
The chief of police added: “We at the Jamestown Police Department are honored to have officers like Mark Conklin working at the Jamestown Police Department.”
Jackson also thanked the local fire department for helping to extinguish Monday’s fire.
There were no reports of casualties, and no additional information on the cause or extent of the fire was provided.

“I’m glad I was in the right place at the right time,” said the 25-year-old police officer.
Conklin served as an official in the department for four years.
A GoFundMe page has been launched for the family and they have been identified as Brook Lucas, Hector Rivera and their four children-between the ages of 3 and 12-who were allegedly in a house fire All property was lost.
“They are long-term residents of Jamestown and have almost lost everything,” the fundraiser wrote. “As far as I know, they do not have insurance. 100% of the donations will be transferred directly to Brook and Hector’s account to cover future housing, living expenses and replacement of belongings to restart their lives.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, the page had raised more than $9,000 for the family.
