Drive-through or drive-through is one of the most convenient innovations ever. Today, there are many places that provide drive-through services, so customers can conveniently place orders through the microphone and immediately place the order in the car.
Drive-thru service is very customer friendly, in restaurants, banks, coffee shops, liquor stores and even pharmacyBut, did you know that this concept began in the late 1920s, and it took another 20 years to reach its peak?
When we celebrate “National Drive-In Day” on July 24, you should know some interesting information about this innovation. (polite: Nationwide today, Currency Net and South Florida reporter.)
history
Although the drive-through concept was introduced by the City Center Bank of Syracuse, New York in 1928, the first restaurant to provide drive-through service was Red’s Giant Hamburg in Springfield, Missouri. It introduced the system in 1947.
However, this concept didn’t become popular until the burger chain Jack in the Box was launched in 1951. This store created the first drive-thru chain to take advantage of the rapidly evolving car culture. The first store of the chain is located in San Diego and only provides drive-through service.
Driven Speed became so popular that it began to influence car design. In 1983, the cup holder as we know it now began to appear in cars. Its reputation also contributed to the establishment of the National Drive-In Day, which was promoted by Jack in the Box in 2002.
