The moment I landed in Singapore, I was immediately struck by the sheer number of Michelin-starred restaurants in this culinary paradise. And what better way to start my vacation than with a delicious lunch served by the Dream Cruise staff at the world-renowned 328 Katong Laksa?before i take off at night Genting Dream CruiseI have the opportunity to appreciate the local culture!
Katong Laksa at 51 East Coast Road is a small restaurant with a limited menu and not many seats, but the portions are huge! 328 That Laksa A great restaurant for traditional Asian cuisine including authentic Singaporean and Malaysian dishes. We decided to find some outdoor seating and enjoy the view of Singapore’s soaring skyscrapers bathed in golden sunlight.

This restaurant is popular with tourists for a reason: it beat Gordon Ramsay to win a Michelin star in the laksa challenge! Now this is something to write home about! As I walked into the restaurant, I went straight to the right and was stunned by the wall of fame, there was no one else there except the brilliant Chef Gordon Ramsay.

A few other well-known faces lit up the picture boards and I was curious to see their connection to the place. A few more steps and I’m at the glass food counter, which is packed and served quickly. Carrying on the tradition from the beginning of Katong Laksa, we decided to choose the classic laksa and Nesi Lamak with Thai coconut for a refreshing end to the meal. In fact, it’s one of the most enjoyable drinks I’ve had all day!

Seafood laksa is simply amazing! If you’re looking for a healthy, tasty bowl of Singaporean noodles, this delicious bowl of coconut curry is sure to satisfy your craving. A creamy coconut base with a hint of tartness brings the perfect balance to the spicy texture of the dish, which is further complemented by the rice noodles and the succulent seafood cooked with it. A must for any Peranakan food lover.

I’ve been saving my appetite for 328’s delicious seafood laksa and it didn’t disappoint! Succulent prawns and succulent clam meat are wrapped in spicy Malaysian Nesi Lamak, all served on fragrant pandan leaves. I was so full I had to buy ten packs of instant laksa to take home – a must have souvenir! Speaking of must-sees, there’s a beautiful South Indian temple behind the restaurant that’s well worth a visit. If you are in Singapore, this is a restaurant you must not miss!
