We have been very lucky to work with the lovely people at Simba recently.
I was kindly sent a copy simba ludlow ottoman bed I can't explain how it changes family life. Whether you're a parent who needs extra storage for toys and linens, or someone who simply appreciates the beauty of well-crafted furniture, the Simba bed is truly impressive.
That’s why I’m sharing 5 reasons why I love our Simba bed! I could easily name a few more, but here we go…
Durable
The first thing we noticed when the Simba Ludlow bed arrived was how heavy it was. In comparison, our previous bed was very flimsy and therefore did not have the same quality and durability as the Simba bed frame.
The beds were made in Yorkshire by skilled craftsmen and it was clear that a lot of thought and effort went into making them. They are truly stunning.
Various bed frame options
You can choose from four bed frame options.
Two drawer storage bases – Comes with two 51 cm wide drawers; one on each side of the double or king base, and side by side on the single or super king base (you can decide which side you prefer during assembly).
Four drawer storage base – Comes with four 51 cm wide drawers, two on each side of the bed.
*Not available in one size
Ottoman storage base – There is a huge storage space under the mattress (up to 768 liters); it can be easily accessed through a simple air lift mechanism.
No storage space – Love Ludlow but don’t need more storage space? It is also available with a standard base.
So much storage space
We chose the Ottoman base and I'm glad we did. The storage space is incredible!
The gas struts are already installed, you just need to connect them. This bed has double or even triple the capacity of our old sofa bed with drawers. It's perfect for storing extra bedding, pillows, seasonal clothing, or any other items you want to keep out of sight but within easy reach.
It really opened up more space in our bedroom and gave us extra storage. This is priceless.
Selection of color
Simba is available in a range of lovely colors and textures, so you can choose your bed to suit your preferences.
I chose the Velvety Peacock, which has a premium velvet finish. I absolutely love this color, I personally think it's almost like regent green. It makes a wonderful statement and provides a lovely pop of color in the neutral color scheme we have.
You can also order the Ludlow bed in linen vanilla, plush cloud grey, tweed pebble, brushed midnight blue and velvet graphite.

easy to approach
Unlike traditional under-bed storage, which often requires bending and crawling on the floor to reach, an ottoman bed provides easy access to your stored items. The gas mechanism easily lifts the bed frame, giving you easy access to your items.
Accessing items is easy even with a thick mattress like ours on it.
Excellent delivery service
We were kept informed throughout the entire ordering process and although the beds were custom made, they arrived to us quickly!
The delivery guy was friendly and polite. They offered to move the bed into our bedroom and assemble it. However, our new mattress had not been delivered at that time and had to temporarily use our old bed, which we sadly had to decline. Our delivery service is impeccable. You won't be disappointed.
To be honest, I really have nothing to criticize about the Simba Ludlow bed. I feel like the price is worth every penny and I know we will still be admiring this bed for many years to come. Thank you Simba!
