Seven children in Mississippi were hospitalized after contracting COVID-19, and two of them received life support due to a surge in Delta cases in the state.
The Delta variant is said to be the more spreadable form of the new coronavirus, and it is affecting children in Mississippi because the state has witnessed a surge in pediatric hospital admissions.
In a tweet, Mississippi Health Officer Thomas Dobbs said that the infected children have Admission to the intensive care unit.
