As a World War II bomb was found on the street, residents were allowed to return to their homes after the restrictions were implemented and the business reopened.
The Humberside police said the field equipment was found on Rockcliffe Road in Gull on Thursday morning. East Yorkshire The area was blocked until it detonated on Saturday afternoon.
There is a no-fly zone in this area, and nearby residents have been told to stay indoors.
Humberside police said that the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team confirmed that the bomb had occurred on Thursday night.
A spokesperson once said: “As a preventive measure, in order for the EOD team to complete preparations before safely disposing of the equipment, the cordon area is currently being strengthened.”
The force said just after 5:40 pm on Saturday that the explosives had been lifted and all restrictions including the closure of shops and roads had been lifted.
They said: “An unexploded World War II bomb found on the outskirts of Gul has now successfully detonated safely.”
“All restrictions are now lifted, including all road closures. Thank you for your patience.”
The eastbound and westbound lanes of M26 and part of A614 between junctions 35 and 37 are being reopened.
