British swimmer Tom Dean revealed that he must defeat the new crown virus twice to participate in the Olympics, and praised his “biggest achievement” in his life when he won an amazing 200 million freestyle gold medal.
Although Dean was named one of the fastest swimmers in the world this year, his teammate Scott is considered to be the leading British hope to reach the final, and he defeated his teammate in a trial earlier this year.
However, Dean had the upper hand, and the two won in 0.04 seconds in the final 50m sprint home.
The 21-year-old revealed that after the Olympics were postponed due to the pandemic, his preparations were disrupted by the coronavirus not one but two.
“In the past 12 months, I have been infected with the new crown virus twice. In the six or seven weeks of the Olympic year, this is basically unheard of,” he said.
“When I was sitting on a flat place in the Olympic year, the Olympic gold medal seemed to be a million miles away from me. Here we are.
“I ate it in September and New Year. The first time was good, but the second time I was really sick. It was quite serious. I completed the complete isolation period and I couldn’t train.

“It’s very difficult. It’s hard to get out of the water for a long time. Obviously because of the nature of the disease, it takes a long time to accumulate. You can’t directly enter the complete training.
