In the warning issued on Wednesday, it said: “Big waves and beach materials are thrown onto the seashore, coastal roads and property, causing injury and life-threatening possibilities.”
On Wednesday, there were still several yellow rain and thunderstorm warnings in Northern Ireland, northern England and parts of Scotland.
Northern Scotland may be hit hardest, with an amber warning predicting floods will flow quickly.
The Met Office added: “This afternoon, there was a thunderstorm in the North Midlands and parts of northern England, and it is expected to continue into the evening.
“Although some places will remain dry, some places may see 20-30 mm of rain within an hour. In addition, hail up to 2 cm in diameter and frequent lightning may occur.”
The flash flood caused the station to close and the hospital was in chaos.

Barts Health, the largest health trust in London, declared a major accident after the basement of Whipps Cross Hospital was flooded, causing damage to the electrical system. Newham Hospital was also affected.
All scheduled surgery and outpatient appointments for Whipps Cross were cancelled and ambulances were diverted.
