In a statement on Thursday, the German Olympic Sports Federation, known as DOSB, stated that Most “will no longer perform duties in Tokyo” and will return to Germany soon.

In a statement, DOSB Chairman Alfons Hörmann stated that the German team was “convinced” that Most’s public apology was “sincere”.

However, he said the team leader ruled that Most “violated Olympic values.”

“Fair competition, respect and tolerance are not negotiable,” Homan added.
