A video captures a 55-year-old woman who was beheaded by the attacker, who then threw her body on the street.
The attack occurred at around 2:30 pm local time on Wednesday in Shakope, Minnesota. According to reports, videos circulating on the Internet showed a woman named America Mafalda Thayer was beheaded by a male assailant before dumping her body on the road.

According to a KMSP-TV report, the police found Thayer’s head leaning against her body, close to a car. Then they found a scabbard in a nearby yard and a knife in a trash can in a nearby alley.
Soon after, the police arrested a 42-year-old man named Alexis Saborit on suspicion of second-degree murder. According to WCCO-TV, the police believe that Saborit has a long-term relationship with Thayer and this is not a random act of violence.
