Connor Fields: BMX gold medalist suffered a horrible crash in the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics

Connor Fields, gold medalist in the BMX competition, was carried on a stretcher after suffering a horrific crash in the third semi-final. Tokyo Olympics.

American star Fields ranked fourth after the first two preliminary matches, and landed violently when he entered the first turn for the first time in the third round.

The 28-year-old man from Las Vegas crashed into a corner and lay on the track. Medical staff rushed out to help him.

Fields was taken care of for a few minutes before being carried away and on a stretcher in an ambulance.

He is eligible for the finals, but will not be able to participate in the competition.

He became the first American BMX driver to win a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and is a popular candidate to win again in Tokyo.

A few minutes later, Fields had another serious crash in the women’s semifinals. Australia’s Saya Sakakibara needed medical treatment on the track after a serious fall.
