Delta variants are as contagious as chickenpox

With the increase in COVID cases in the United States, an internal CDC memo stated that the Delta variant is as contagious as chickenpox and may cause other diseases.

The file was originally created by Washington post, Urged “war has changed” and warned that fully vaccinated people may spread the virus as easily as unvaccinated people.

Director of CDC Dr. Rochelle Varensky The authenticity of the document has been confirmed. Walensky said that people should wear masks in “public, indoor settings” in high-level transmission areas.

New York Times A copy of the document was obtained showing that the Delta variant is more contagious than MERS, SARS, Ebola, flu, and the common cold, and as contagious as chickenpox.

According to a federal official, the research in the document was described as very worrying, declaring that the Delta variant “is a serious threat” and requires immediate action.

Walensky said that the spread of Delta variants among vaccinated populations is “worrisome, and unfortunately we need to update our recommendations.”

Walensky recommends that everyone at school, including students, staff and tourists, should wear a mask at all times. “The measures needed to control this situation are extreme” she says, Calling it “one of the most transmitted viruses we know.”

If a vaccinated person is infected with the Delta variant, they can infect other people as easily as an unvaccinated person.

“The most important thing is that compared to other variants, people who are vaccinated, even if they are not sick, will be infected and spread the virus at a level similar to that of unvaccinated infected people,” Walter Orenstian Said the doctor.

The document shows that vaccinated people are safer, they reduce the risk of serious illness or death by 10 times and the risk of infection by 3 times. However, of the 162 million fully vaccinated Americans, 35,000 are fully vaccinated be infected weekly.

The average daily cases in the United States exceeded 66,900 in the past week. According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the average level has risen sharply since the country reached a low of 11,299 cases in June.

“We have more cases than there were on any given day last summer,” Varensky said.

President Biden is stepping up his fight against the virus because he is now an effort to force all federal employees to receive the vaccine. “This is a tragedy in the United States, people are dying and who are not,” he said.
