A German modern pentathlon coach was kicked out of the Tokyo Olympics in Japan for allegedly hitting a horse in Friday’s equestrian obstacle course.
Following criticism from social media and a review by the sport’s international governing body, Kim Raisner was disqualified from participating in the 2020 Olympics.
After the incident involving the German pentathlon athlete Annika Schiller and a horse named Saint Boy, the International Modern Pentathlon Federation, known by the French acronym UIPM, awarded Resner an award on Saturday. Black card.

UIPM issued a statement before the men’s pentathlon on Saturday, addressing Reisner’s behavior and explaining how she will be punished.

The German Hyundai Pentathlon stated that Saint Boy had been “injured by the previous rider” before the start of Schleu’s round—meaning the Russian Gulnaz Gubaydullina.
The head of UIPM, Dr. Klaus Schormann, said on Friday that the rider, not the horse, should be blamed for problems in the race.
“We tested them and they are fully prepared and the athletes have no reason to complain. If they do not succeed in certain parts of the game, it is only because of the athletes themselves,” Schormann said.
