Police say a 21-year-old mother in Altamonte Springs, Fla., was shot and killed by her toddler in the head when she called Zoom on Wednesday.
according to WESHAccording to the police, it appeared that one of Shamaya Lynn’s two young children picked up an unfixed gun, fired it, and shot their mother in the head.
Police said a participant in the video call heard a loud noise and saw Lynn falling back on a chair. Medical staff at the scene tried to provide treatment for Lynn, but she was declared dead of a gunshot wound to the head at the scene.
“I don’t know where to start,” the woman said in the received 911 call. Orlando Sentinel“We were broadcasting live in a company. We were just hired. One of the girls passed out and she was bleeding. She turned on the camera. Her child was crying behind.”
“We heard a loud noise, and then she leaned back, we only saw blood on her face,” the colleague said. “She didn’t answer anything. We called her by name, and she didn’t speak or respond.”
According to the police, the gun belonged to the children’s father. According to the report, the Seminole County Attorney’s Office is conducting an investigation to determine whether the child’s father, Lynn’s boyfriend, faces any charges.
In another 911 call obtained by Sentinel, her boyfriend begged the paramedics to hurry up and tried to help Lynn. He said that Lynn had no breath or heartbeat.

According to WESH, neither of Lynn’s children was injured and was not taken care of by relatives.
According to the WESH report, the police emphasized the importance of locking guns and stated that anyone who does not have a weapon lock can get one from the police for free.
Police officer Roberto Ruiz Jr. told the media: “If you don’t have a gun, please lock it up by anyone and everyone listening to this story to make sure that this incident can be avoided.”
