FNSS used its own resources to design and develop PARS SCOUT vehicles. The President of the National Defense Industry initiated the bidding process for the development of special-purpose vehicles that meet the needs of the Turkish armed forces. Personnel comfort is a tool more suitable for reconnaissance and surveillance tasks.

PARS SCOUT is the first category of 6×6 and 8×8 armored vehicles registered in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory through a special purpose vehicle contract signed by FNSS and the Presidential Palace of Defense Industry. The project goal can be set at a high rate, and can be configured according to future needs.

Special efforts have been made to localize the vehicle’s subsystems. The product has been developed through R&D projects to increase the localization rate of the vehicle, and all domestically developed subsystems have been tested. PARS SCOUT effectively cooperates with SMEs and subcontractors in the development of subsystems, and is a candidate for demonstration projects for cooperation within the defense industry ecosystem.

The completely independent hydro-pneumatic suspension system gives the vehicle the highest wheel stroke of the same level, ensuring the best grip under different road conditions. The central tire inflation system allows the driver to adjust the tire pressure according to different terrain conditions. Vehicle families with wading capabilities can also obtain amphibious capabilities according to user requirements, thanks to their optional amphibious functions.

FNSS demonstrated the capabilities of Turkish engineers during the design phase of the PARS SCOUT vehicle series, and demonstrated the strength of the local supply chain and its own capabilities during the development process. In addition to providing the highest localization rate and cost-effective life cycle among similar products, the cooperation with domestic subcontractors and maintaining top spare parts availability proves its ability to develop domestic and domestic vehicles.
