The long-time conservative radio host Phil Valentine (Phil Valentine) died on Saturday after a long battle with COVID-19 at the age of 61. He has been exposed to masks and masks for most of the pandemic. The efficacy of the vaccine has raised doubts.

Valentin confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19 on July 11 and was later hospitalized due to virus-related complications. At the end of July, he was placed on a ventilator.

For decades, the outspoken radio host has been the leader of Nashville’s conservatives. For most of the pandemic, Valentine criticized the coronavirus vaccine, expressed doubts about its safety and effectiveness, and strongly opposed wearing masks.
After being hospitalized, Valentine’s family told the audience that he now believes that the vaccine is necessary and regretted the previous derogatory comments.
“Phil hopes that his audience will know that although he has never become an’anti-vaccine person’, he regrets not’supporting the vaccine’ more strongly, and hopes that he will be able to advocate this position more actively as soon as he comes back. We all hope it will be broadcast soon,” the family wrote in a statement. “Please go get vaccinated.”

“Phil Valentine is a visionary of the conservative movement. As a respected radio host, actor and writer, he has had a huge impact on the lives of many Tennessees,” Blackburn wrote. “It’s an honor to know Phil. I know his legacy will last forever. My deepest condolences and prayers are with Phil’s wife Susan and his family. May they be comforted and surrounded by love during this difficult time.”
Lee wrote on Twitter: “Maria and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Phil Valentine and pray for his family through the difficult days.”
