According to reports, a major airline is expected to postpone its plan to open scheduled services this week. London September to November to New York.
Another airline revealed that the ban is expected to continue into the fall, but there is still hope US President Joe Biden May introduce exceptions for the Double Spurs British travelers, according to Telegraph.
The country has banned those from U.K Since March 2020.
Due to the spread of the highly contagious Delta Air Lines in the United States, Virgin Atlantic delayed the restart date of the Heathrow-Las Vegas flight to mid-September.
When Boris Johnson and Mr. Biden met at the G7 summit in Cornwall in June, they agreed to form a joint working group to resume travel.
However, the prime minister later told colleagues that the president seemed “very unwilling” to restart flights between the two countries.
Virgin Atlantic Airways urged Mr. Biden to relax restrictions on double vaccination of British citizens in return and “help family members reunite and help companies restore their relationship with our largest trading partner.”
However, the United States has not yet responded.
Earlier, JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes expressed his hope that the United States would lift the ban on entry into the UK “within two to three months.”
Mr. Hayes told BBC Today earlier this month: “We are hopeful for the next two or three months. As we see the increased right side of the Delta variant, we can revisit this and we can welcome the British. And Europeans join the country again.”
